Welcome!  We are SINGERS!!

Twin County Chorus, 2026 Region #15 5th place champions and 3rd place division AA, is an award-winning chapter of Sweet Adelines International, and as such we encourage women of all backgrounds to discover the joy of singing four-part a cappella in the barbershop style. As a vibrant, multigenerational chorus composed of women who share a love for this unique type of harmony, we strive to create music that uplifts and inspires and, in doing so, we have fostered an environment of camaraderie, support, and shared achievement for every chorus member.

Our members come from diverse walks of life—teachers, engineers, nurses, students, business owners, retirees, and more—united by a common thread: the joy of singing together. Our chorus is a space where friendships blossom, creativity thrives, and every voice matters. We are always ready to welcome new members.

Our diverse repertoire spans everything from classic barbershop arrangements and musical theater favorites to contemporary pop hits and holiday classics. More than just a singing group, we are a supportive community who love to perform, compete, and grow musically together. Whether you are an experienced vocalist or just love to sing in the shower, there is a place for your voice in our harmony.

Christine Krowles has been involved in barbershop singing for more than 30 years. Raised in the Steinkamp family, where generations have been dedicated to barbershop harmony through arranging, directing, coaching, judging, performing, and founding choruses, Christine developed a lifelong passion for the art form at an early age. At just 16, she joined the Syosset High School Adelettes, where she quickly became Bass Section Leader and began developing the musical and leadership skills that would shape her future.

Christine joined Twin County Chorus in 2000 and has served the organization in numerous leadership roles, including Board President, Bass Section Leader, Assistant Director, and Associate Director. Through Sweet Adelines International's Director Certification Program, she earned her Director Certification before becoming Co-Director in 2014. Following Connie Kash's retirement in 2016, Christine was honored to become Twin County's Musical Director.

Today, Christine continues to lead Twin County Chorus with a passion for musical excellence, education, and personal growth. Drawing on her teaching background, musical ear, and sense of humor, she strives to create rehearsals that are both productive and enjoyable while helping every singer reach their full potential.
